As a Senior Data Scientist you will serve as a liaison between software engineers and data scientists, with a focus on maintaining our research and development at the forefront of artificial intelligence. As the company's resident AI expert, you will collaborate closely with data engineers and data scientists within the Data and AI team.

We operate in a low-hierarchy, politics-free, and collaborative engineering environment where solving real customer problems is our top priority. Our technology stack leverages behavioral data, deep integrations, machine learning, and automated workflows, allowing brands to create fully personalized commerce experiences at scale.

Responsibilities:

• Drive state-of-the-art machine learning research and development, ensuring our models and solutions remain innovative and effective.
• Collaborate with product managers and engineers to transform ideas and concepts into robust AI-driven solutions for our customers.
• Mentor team members and ensure best practices in ML engineering and research.
• Collaborate on AI research with international partners, university researchers, and Master’s Thesis students.

Requirements:

• Industry working experience in a relevant role (4+ years)
• MSc. degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Artificial Intelligence or related field
• Solid experience in working with SQL, and Python beyond Jupyter Notebook
• Experience working with MLOps pipelines (incl. model monitoring and canary deployments etc.) and technologies such as AWS Sagemaker
• Hands-on experience with Large Language Models, including pretraining, fine-tuning, RAG, and integrating LLMs into production environments.
• Fluency in English

What we appreciate:

• Familiarity integrating and working with data warehouses and data processing pipelines (e.g. Snowflake, Spark, Flink etc.)
• Experience with machine learning frameworks and libraries such as TensorFlow, Pytorch or Scikit-learn.
• Experience with transformers
• Experience with distributed systems with large volumes of data
