As a Software Engineer with focus on PHP, you will play a pivotal role in the development and optimization of our e-commerce platform integrations, ensuring seamless merchant experiences. You will be the main contact and responsible person for Shopware, Magento, and Prestashop integrations.

What you would be working on

Together we shape our technical trajectory by developing future-focused APIs and integrations with leading e-commerce platforms and technology partners. Your primary focus is on the development of new products and features and the implementation of improvements to existing ones with strong relations on the platforms we are working with.

Additionally, you will support our partners with technical guidance and reviews. You will report to the Head of Platform Integrations and contribute actively to the design of our software architecture.

You will play a key role in tightly collaborating with our product manager to ensure that product, security, and technical requirements are fully aligned with the team for seamless execution.

Key Responsibilities:

• Take primary responsibility for developing and maintaining Nosto’s integrations with Shopware, Magento, and Prestashop, ensuring seamless functionality and adherence to best practices.
• Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable code by integrating our platforms with external services and APIs.
• Write thorough tests and apply systematic debugging to resolve issues.
• Contribute to the development of new products and features from concept to launch, ensuring alignment with platform capabilities and architectural standards.
• Monitor and improve integration performance using operational data.
• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for integration solutions, including architectural designs, API specifications, and operational guides
• Engage in agile processes (sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives) and ensure incremental delivery.
• Mentor colleagues and provide support for internal teams with platform-related questions and technical planning for internal projects. 
• Engaging with platform partners and merchants, understanding their needs, resolving technical challenges, and implementing improvements.
• Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring clarity and alignment. Encourage open discussions within the team, valuing diverse opinions and constructive feedback.

What We Expect

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 6 years of PHP development experience. Additional Java experience is a plus
• Deep expertise in Shopware, Magento, and Prestashop, with a strong understanding of their architecture, APIs, and extension mechanisms.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, with an ability to diagnose complex technical issues efficiently.
• Fluent in spoken and written English.
